A very big win for the Senior Women against the bottom-placed Mermaids. A nice team-bonding opportunity for the team as well with a massive road-trip.
Minutes were also shared around nicely in this game, with everyone getting on the scoreboard as well.
Defensively, the Women were fantastic, only allowing 13 points against in the first half.
The Women still sit second on the ladder heading into Round 15 in a massive game against Keilor.

Jordan Coleman – 32 points, 9 rebounds
Jake Martin – 27 points, 11 rebounds
Highlighted as game of the week by Big V – 1stv 2ndin the Championship Men division – it was a massive scalp for the Senior Men, especially since McKinnon had won the past 2 match-ups.
It was an even first quarter before McKinnon made a big run in the second quarter, leading by 13 points at half time in their charity round.
The Broncos took up the challenge and increased the intensity and put on scoring pressure in the third quarter to lead by 1 point at the final break, thanks to a big buzzer beater by Jordan Coleman (check video here– 1.16.49)
With the momentum, the Senior Men took a 10 point lead mid-way through the final quarter before McKinnon came back again within 2 points but that is as close as they got.
Crucial free throws made and a massive 4 point play by Jordan put the result without doubt for a memorable win.
The Men sit in second position, with 2 games and head-to-heads over Hawthorn (3rd) and Casey (4th).

Chris Alai – 12 points, 10 rebounds
After coming off a 1-1 weekend in Round 13, the Broncos were determined to keep up their good form and took a huge scalp for the Youth Men, defeating 4thplaced Casey, their sixth win of the season.
5 points down at the first break, the Broncos stepped up and made their move in the second and third quarters, scoring 53-25 in that time.
Casey won the final quarter 17-26 but the damage had already been done as the Broncos take an important confidence building win.

An unfortunate loss for the Youth Women against the Eagles, after starting off quite well in the first quarter (17-9).
Diamond Valley outscored the Youth Women over the second and third quarters (44-29) making it hard for the Broncos to comeback.
