Big V Round 19 Results

Champ Men defeated Wyndham

107-66

A huge win 41 point from the Champ Men over Wyndham on Saturday night will hopefully set the tone for the rest of the season.

It was completed dominance from the first few minutes as the Broncos quickly got to a 13-3 point lead thanks to the intense defence of Dom Kumosz. On the offensive end, Jake Martin started the game hot with 13 points in this first quarter.

The lead continued to grow in the second quarter as the result became without doubt in a 25 point lead at half time break. A few quick baskets in the third quarter ballooned the lead out to 32 points. However, Wyndham kept the score relatively low but the Broncos still winning the quarter 22-19.

Unfortunately for Wyndham, they became fatigued as the lead then went out to a massive 40+ points, with a 30-17 point quarter to end the game for the Broncos.

This big win could potentially become extremely important in head-to-head, with Wyndham and the Broncos (bef0re their game) were on the same win-loss.

For the majority of the match, each team traded baskets and momentum, with the biggest lead for both teams being 7 points (Broncos) and 9 points (Wyndham). It was a 5 point lead to Wyndham with 1 minute to go as Charlotte Lord hit a big 3 to reduce the lead to 2 points. However, the Broncos were forced to foul to send Wyndham to the foul line, as they hit those crucial free throws taking the game.
