BIGV Head Coach Announcement

Fresh on the heels of last week’s announcement of their Championship Women and Youth
            Championship Women coaches for 2024, Hume City can now share the news that Matt Foster
            has re-committed to the Head Coach role for the Broncos Mens program. Along with
            premiership winning Youth League Coach Simon Gray also signed for next year, the Club
            is in a great position to once again be a strong competitive force.

            “Having Matt back at the helm of the Mens Program is fantastic, especially with the
            departure of Broncos Mens Director of Coaching, Brett Atley, who is stepping away for
            family reasons” said Broncos Vice President Glen Milner. “Matt has demonstrated the
            ability to assemble and lead highly competitive teams, with his record of having his teams
            play off in two of the last three Big V Championship Division Grand Finals testament to his
            coaching prowess. The integrated development and pathways progression of players has 
            produced outstanding results for the Club, with the close working relationship between Matt
            and Simon paying dividends in terms of consistency of approach and performances.”

            In confirming his re-commitment to coach the Broncos in 2024 Coach Foster said “I’m as
            excited as ever to have the opportunity to be involved with the great club that Hume is, and
            to continue to work with the quality individuals within the team. As with other years, we will
            have some turnover of personnel but I’m confident we will put together a very solid unit,
            combining some promising young Bronco talent whom we’ve nurtured with some
            experienced veterans playing key roles. A huge vote of thanks to Brett, who brought me
            to the Hume City coaching role and who has been invaluable for his support and guidance
            during the past five years. In gearing up for next year, I’m looking forward to representing
            Hume City and seeing the Bronco faithful loud and proud!”
