Hume City Bronco Daniel Foster was selected to represent Australia at the 2019 FIBA 3×3 Under 18 Asia Cup in Malaysia over this past weekend.

Unfortunately this meant that Daniel couldn’t play with the Senior Men in Game 2 of the Grand Final Series against McKinnon, but it was definitely well worth it!

However, we are very excited that Daniel has taken home a Bronze Medal at the Asia Cup. Australia defeated Number 1 ranked China in the medal match, 21-17.

Australia only lost once, that was in the Semi-Final against overall winner Japan falling just short in overtime.

Daniel was one of the stars of the tournament, hitting the game-winning shot 2 times in a row against Kazakhstan and Mongolia, whilst also getting that goal score to hit the final 21 points against China.  This earned him a selection on team of the tournament.

It has been a massive couple of months for the 18-year old; U18 3×3 Asia Cup, finals with the Senior Men, as well as several tournaments in the USA with multiple Division 1 US College offers.
