Introducing our new Director of High Performance

In some exciting news we are pleased to advise that Darren Hindle has been appointed as the new Director of High Performance (DHP) for the Junior Broncos program!

Many Broncos will be familiar with Darren from his involvement in the club and we are excited for the knowledge, experience, and energy he will bring to our program.

Darren has a vast coaching experience; he is the founder & Director of Transition Sports – a basketball training and development facility – and has coached Youth League at Werribee and Geelong previously.

Passionate about young athlete development, Darren will look to inspire the Junior Broncos to achieve their best.

“I am truly thankful & excited to be given this amazing opportunity by Broadmeadows Basketball. My passion is to inspire each member to achieve and understand that success only comes from devoting your time & effort to support not just yourself, but also those around you, and create an environment & culture that instils the motto ‘one for all & all for one’.”

The Director of High Performance role has been expanded from the previous Director Of Coaching role with more contact hours and an increased focus on athlete development and instilling a wholistic club approach.

General Manager Todd Anderson said of the transition “We are very excited to appoint Darren to the new role of Director of High Performance. Darren comes with a wealth of experience and proven success across all levels and I look forward to seeing what he will add to the Broncos program. I want to thank Cecil Exum for his time in the Director of Coaching role over the past 4 years and the strides our program has taken over this time.”

2022 coaching applications, tryouts and rep ready programs will be finalised in the coming days and communicated shortly. Make sure to monitor our socials and the Broncos smartphone app for announcements.
