BROADMEADOWS BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Following the news of General Manager Todd Anderson’s pending departure from the organisation, a searching selection process has resulted in the appointment of Gareth Alexander to the role.

Announcing the appointment, Broadmeadows Basketball Association (BBA) Vice President Glen Milner said: “Our vacancy advertisement attracted a strong field of applicants from a variety of backgrounds. In the final analysis, what separated Gareth from other candidates was his passion for Basketball and growing the sport; strategic thinking linked to our role context; and operations management capabilities, augmented by his high level customer servicing skills and marketing experience in a commercial environment.

We look forward to Gareth leading the Association into the next stage of basketball’s growth in this region, working closely with our member clubs and other key stakeholders to consolidate recruitment and retention strategies and facility management.”

In accepting the appointment, Mr Alexander said: “I am thrilled at the opportunity and look forward to the challenge of growing the Sport and participation of Basketball within the Community and representing the Broadmeadows Basketball Association into the future.”

Mr Alexander will commence in the General Manager role on 30 May.
