BROADMEADOWS BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES SENIOR APPOINTMENTS

(September 2022)

Broadmeadows Basketball Association (BBA) is excited to announce the following
appointments to its leadership roles in both the corporate management and representative
            competitions segments of its operations.

Luke Lehmann, who commences as BBA’s General Manager on 12 September, brings
hands on experience in basketball administration from periods of recent employment with
the Hawthorn and Collingwood Basketball Associations and in competitions and events
management during his time with Athletics Victoria and Tennis Australia. In welcoming
Luke to the organisation, Vice President Glen Milner said “Luke brings an impressive
work and academic CV to our GM role. Luke is looking forward to working constructively
with our stakeholders and staff to implement a range of actions arising from the
Association’s recently endorsed 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.”

After 12 months in the Director of High Performance Junior Broncos Coaching role, Darren
Hindle has agreed to an extension of his agreement with BBA to deliver these services
into 2025. “Darren’s energetic and knowledgeable approach to player and coach
development and well -being has resulted in high levels of engagement across the breadth
of our junior representative program.” said Mr Milner “With Darren’s plans for enhancement
of our offerings to existing and prospective players and coaches to maximise capability and
enrich our elite pathways, the sky’s the limit for our Junior Broncos participants.”

BBA also confirmed the continuation of Rob Baldwin and Matt Foster in the Head Coaching
roles for the Broncos Women and Mens Big V Championship Teams respectively, with Tim
Devlin entering his sixth year as Coach of the Victorian Youth Championship Women in
2023. The appointment of Simon Gray to the coaching role of the Youth League Men is well
deserved recognition for his strong contribution as the 2022 interim coach of that team.

Finally, Brett Atley and Clarissa Tomlinson have committed to the roles of Director of
Coaching for the Big V Mens and Womens programs respectively, with Mr Milner

highlighting the important co-ordination and communication aspects of those roles in
supporting progression pathways and talent acquisition.
