A Basketball game can’t take place without referees, and our Association is justifiably proud of the Referee’s program we have established and developed over recent years.

Victorian Basketball Referees Association – Broadmeadows Branch

As Broadmeadows Basketball Association is affiliated with Basketball Victoria all games are played under FIBA Rules and Broadmeadows Basketball Association By-Laws and local rules that take into account local conditions. All referees who officiate at Broadmeadows Basketball Association venues must be conversant with all FIBA Rules; FIBA Interpretations; FIBA Referees Manual (Mechanics and Officiating Techniques for 2 Referees); Broadmeadows Basketball Association By-laws and the special rules which apply to Broadmeadows Basketball Association Senior and Junior Domestic competitions.
