LEAP - VicSport
Broadmeadows Basketball Association is proud to announce Hannah Gentz’s recent graduation from Vicsport’s LEAP program. In partnership with the State Government of Victoria, LEAP aims to enhance the capacity, availability and performance of female leaders in the Victorian sporting industry.
Reflecting upon the graduation, Hannah Gentz said “It was a very challenging and rewarding experience to learn and develop with women working in all aspects of sport across Victoria. We worked on leadership and relationship skills, public speaking, discussing challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated industry and so much more!
I am very proud of the personal and professional growth I have made throughout this program.”
The program entailed four days of personal and group leadership capability development; collaborating and sharing the unique challenges that women face in the sports industry; and engaging in a holistic approach to management. The program culminated in a graduation ceremony where the participants presented their final group assignment.
“Hannah should be extremely proud of herself in undertaking the LEAP program. It was a great opportunity for Hannah to build her leadership capabilities and her key learnings will be integral in driving the Association forward. I would like to thank the Committee of Management for investing in the professional development of their staff”, General Manager, Luke Lehmann said.
